It’s the smart, ambitious woman who dreams about abundant energy, a clear focused mind and exquisite health to fuel a life with purpose.

She dreams of waking up each and every day as the most energetic, inspired version of herself.

She fills her day with activities that will better her because she wants to make an impact on the world. And NOTHING will stop her from getting there…

Does That Sound Like You? Because it sure does describe me!

Hi, I’m Siona Sammartino, MS, RDN, holistically trained Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Nutrition Culinary Expert. I’ m passionate about helping smart, ambitious women transform their health + energy by falling in love with whole, deliciously satisfying foods.

I love defining a crystal-clear action plan for women to help them get laser focused so they can take the guesswork and overwhelm out of eating. Watching their transformation inspires me.

In my own life, I’ve used food to overcome a life-threatening autoimmune condition (against all odds), have learned simple ways to rejuvenate myself and have helped my clients do the same.

I believe that getting healthy & changing your eating habits doesn’t mean you have to put your dreams on hold. In fact, optimizing nutrition will fuel your purpose, allowing you to make an even greater impact with your ambitions.

Here’s How I’m Different

The problem with transforming your health & eating habits is that who you trust to help you absolutely matters! Unless you want to wind up more frustrated, confused and even nutritionally depleted in the process.

Many health coaches & Providers, Nutritionists and online health programs expect you to:

•Obsess over calories or weigh out portions

•Eat cardboard-tasting “health” foods

•Drink shakes & bars that leave you starving

•Spend hours a day slaving in the kitchen

•Eat less & exercise more, leaving you depleted in the process

•Cleanse and go on a “diet” to fix your “bad” eating habits

•Rely on green juices or smoothies but don ’t address core eating behaviors that will help you get the transformation your seeking

But That’s not what you’ll find with me or in the nourish to replenish community!

In THIS space diet means a customized approach to eating that…

✔ considers your individual needs ✔ satisfies your taste buds ✔ energizes you from the inside out ✔ won’t shock your body ✔ nourishes you on a cellular level to support healing ✔ helps you step into the healthiest, most exquisite version of yourself

Plus, I’ve dedicated years of my life to receiving the most admired education & am trained in both integrative and natural medicine as well as evidence-based nutritional science.

As a bonus, I also have training in the culinary arts, because telling you to eat kale is one thing… cooking it & making it tasty & effortlessly part of your everyday life is another!

I’ve had to pass grueling exams and complete a post-graduate internship to become nationally credentialed. Because I am ambitious (just like you), I wouldn’t settle for anything other than the best and finest education.

I’m proud to say I’m skilled in helping each and every one of my clients receive top-notch, customized guidance on how to reconstruct their eating habits and use foods therapeutically as a powerful medicine.

My talents lie in teaching, public speaking, counseling and translating complex biochemical nutritional science into the everyday practical application. And I love to be on camera, expanding my reach to an even greater audience.

But before I was a nutritionist, I had my own health challenges to overcome.

 My Story

Most people look at me today and think I have perfect health. They think because I’m a nutritionist and “look healthy” that I’ve never struggled with cravings, debilitating fatigue, major health challenges or disgruntled eating behaviors. They think I’m too young to have been sick or really understand what it means to live with a disability. What they don’t know is that since the young age of 15, I’ve struggled with a life-threatening autoimmune condition that hospitalized me on multiple occasions. Up until I was about 25 years old, my health had been in a state of complete crisis. Illness threatened my existence on this planet and nearly took my life. The doctors even told me I would have permanent organ damage, need a heart valve replacement and likely would have disabilities for the rest of my life. I was on 9 different medications just to keep me alive. What the doctors didn’t know, was that when they proceeded to dictate what my future would hold, my inner superhero kicked onto autopilot and I become a force to be reckoned with.

Getting sick at such a young age made me re-think why I was here on Earth.

Adversity led me to finding my life ’s purpose. Nutrition fueled that purpose and finding my purpose ultimately led to my healing. So when others my age were attending prom, partying and finding love for the first time, I was graduating a year early from high school and apprenticing with a famous Chinese Medicine acupuncturist, nutritionist and herbalist. That’ s when I first discovered how to use food as a powerful healing medicine. It took some time and diligence before I turned my health around and I am not claiming to have “perfect health,” but I am happy to say that all of my organs have healed to much of the doctors’ surprise. Each and every day that I wake and realize that I am well and living my dream, I count my blessings and give thanks for my life. And on most days, I feel like the most inspired-energetic version of myself, which is truly amazing. But still, the journey hasn’t always been easy. When I started changing my eating habits, I found myself overwhelmed with conflicting health & nutrition advice. But that wasn’t even my biggest frustration.

Learning how to juggle my health challenges without having to compromise my multi-passionate nature was my biggest concern.

Just like you, I’m smart, ambitious, passionate, creative, successful and hard-working. Just because I had a health challenge, I didn’t want to put my purpose on hold. Luckily, I didn’t have to. Instead, nutrition became my secret weapon and I found my personal power. I learned how to listen to my body and how to respond in a way that would bring me towards health and healing. All of this was only possible because I was constantly re-fueling and replenishing myself with proper nutrition.

I went on a mission to educate myself and attend the most prestigious universities.

I wanted to refine my skills so I could help others find hope, inspiration, and courage to rise above the adversity in their own lives.. It was here that I discovered Bastyr University, the Harvard of natural medicine and went on to complete 5 years of schooling, higher-education and internships so that I could become the best nutritionist I could be. During my studies at Bastyr, my passion for teaching was awakened and I started leading nutrition workshops and cooking demonstrations all over the Seattle area. I worked with and taught patients who were suffering from traumatic brain injuries (TBI’s), cancer, diabetes, auto-immune conditions and many more. I’ve given presentations to crowds of hundreds of people at the Seattle Convention Center and Fred Hutch Cancer Research Center. I’ve also created online cooking and nutrition videos for eHow, Livestrong and Seattle King5 News.

To say I’m grateful is an understatement.

Watching others be inspired by my passion and my own story moves me to tears. The little girl inside me who once was sick and suffering is not only healthy, but also leading the purposeful life of her dreams. Today, I own a private nutrition practice in Kenmore, WA, lead programs and workshops all over the Seattle area and teach as a professor at my alma mater, Bastyr University. The greatest reward of my own struggles has been helping my clients transform their health from the inside out. Helping others avoid the pain I’ve experienced in my own life and supporting them in discovering their own transformation, reinforces my own PURPOSE. And purpose is worth living for. It’s my mission to help you discover how to replenish & refuel yourself to sustain your creative nature and to powerfully live with purpose. As you do so, you’ll be able to “show up” in your life as the very BEST and BRIGHTEST version of yourself.

Dinner-planning and fitting healthy habits into my busy entrepreneurial schedule have always been a challenge. What I found most valuable from our time together were the strategies for healthy snacking & new food preparation tips. The go-to lists of food choices in particular were hugely effective. And, I was so excited to find there were so many healthy foods that I actually love! Thank you for helping me make “real changes” to my lifestyle & have meal-time strategies that work with my busy entrepreneurial schedule.

And in case you want to know more about my life outside of being a nutritionist

I love the exhilarating feeling I get when walking in nature and taking in a long, deep, satisfying breath of clean, fresh air. I value down time with my loved ones, pampering myself with ultimate self-care (which includes a relaxing massage) and cozying up by the fire with a good book and hot cup of tea. I’m always creating, whether it’s a new recipe or program or an elegant crochet project. I’m a true romantic at heart. I LOVE butter and dark chocolate (yes this girl’s NOT afraid of fat).. Although I once was a dancer and violinist, I tend to be quite clumsy by nature. I dream big and live boldly (you never know what life has in store for you, be it a challenge or your wildest dream). My husband is a true BFF and inspires me each and every day to share my gifts with the world.
